People app updated with NEON - Download APPX (10.2.1211)

Many Microsoft Store apps got new UI elements and animations, as part of NEON project. I already wrote articles about Calculator and Groove apps, now it's time to mention People app. This app was updated around 5 May, making it fully transparent. Because the update is only available for Insiders, in case you want to try, you can download and sideload the appx file for latest version available.

What's NEON?

Microsoft is going to upgrade the User Interface on Windows 10. From several months we have heard about this project, and finally, with Redstone 3 development, we are starting to see this project gaining shape.
Project NEON is heavily focus on animations, simplicity, and consistency. It's an attempt to bring the AERO glass effect from Windows 7 and mix it with old Windows Phone animations. We will probably know more about this project at BUILD conference, starting at 10th May.

People app is an Universal Windows app and it's package it's very lightweight, therefore it appears as a single package on Windows Store, which means that same package let's you install the app on phones, PC's, and other supported devices categories.

Update: It seems this update doesn't work on phones, for some reason it doesn't sideload on any of my phones on production ring. However, works fine on PC.

The latest version available is 10.2.1211.0.

To install the package, you need to ensure you have sideload features enabled. Go to Settings, Security & Update, under For Developers select Sideload apps or  Developer Mode.
Finally, tap on APPX file to install. (on Windows Mobile there is not UI progress for installation. Wait a minute and the app should appear on All Apps list)
